The chicken has won! Every single vote that was voiced: 2o people at Dad's work, people at mom's work all of our friends and family all voted for the chick. The only vote the elephant got was by default. We are going to The Boo at the Zoo on Saturday and she will wear the chicky there. She is now 20lbs and 28 inches tall. The doctor said everything looks great and she is healthy as a horse.

This past weekend went traveled down to Mississippi to visit with the family. It was an adventure riding in a car with Charleigh for 7 - 71/2 hours. It takes more like nine when you add in all the stops we make. We would give Charleigh a break and go walk around in a store, gas station or restaurant. She did really really well. She fussed a tiny bit but never actually cried. I packed plenty of toys and snacks to keep her happy. She had a little bit of a hard time getting off of her schedule and being around so many people she isn't used to but overall it was a great weekend. She jumped right to her Uncle Cecil, Uncle Thomas, and her Granddaddy Ferrell, but was a little more reserved about going to the women. Except of course her Momma. She has just started the "I want my MOMMY!!!!! phase." It seems that she feels more attached to me when she is around a bunch of people.So it was nice to see her giving her Uncles and Grandad hugs. She also likes playing with their beards and taking their hats.
She is now waving more often although I'm not sure if she understands when to do it. She will wave at her Daddy in the other room, at the T.V when her Baby Einstein video is playing and whenever we help her through the motion. She also laughs everytime we wave at her almost as if she knows we want her to reciprocate but refuses just to amuse herself. She has her 9 month check up in the morning so we will see how much she weighs and how much she has grown. And I will put up more pictures and updates when I get them.
