Yeee-haww

This is her taking off her hat and waving it around saying "yee-haww", but it sounds a bit more like wee- haw. I wonder who she learned this from. She cracks me up all the time, who knew what a sweet baby could do to enrich your life?

How 'Bout them Cowgirls,,,,

such a little ham.

Charleigh saw Grandma pull up the drive and wanted her to come and see her ride so she started calling and calling for her until we saw her.

Look at how little she is, and she isn't scared a bit. Just give her the reins and let her go and she would be fine, or so she thinks.

Sitting pretty. Look at how well she holds her reins. She is holding split reins with no knot tied in them.

Going out for a ride.

Lead the Way...

Charleigh really wanted to lead either Pancho or Scooter since we were bringing them both up to the barn. I decided that it would be alright for her to lead Pancho, if I was close by. It was way more difficult than I expected, not to mention SLOW. It was more like Pancho was just happening to wander in our general direction. He would begin to wander or stop and Charleigh would say "PLEEEAAASSEE" like would "you please just follow me". Then next thing you know Pancho had a spurt of energy and he would be passing Charleigh which didn't take much. Between Charleigh and Pancho, Scooter just about fell asleep waiting for them to catch up. His slowest speed still wasn't slow enough.

She looks like she is all business.

Holding on with two hands/playing with Panchos mane, to her it was the same thing.

This is another one of her smooth moves that she thinks she is allowed to do when she is riding, again I have to remind her 30 times to hold on with 2 hands. On average I must say this every 3.5 seconds

Riding Pancho Bareback

I tried for a while to let Charleigh lead Pancho while I lead Scooter, which didn't go so well. I was a nervous wreck, worried that she was going to get stepped on or drug around and she DID NOT want me to help her lead. So I let her get on and ride bareback for the first time(by herself) with out a spotter walking by us. She did pretty good, she kept saying wee-haw and taking her hat off and waving it and I would have to remind her to hang on with 2 hands.

A Warm day In February

There was a day in February were the temp reached 70 degrees, we of course spent all day outside. Charleigh rode Scooter and her pony Pancho.
Calling for the horses. She pretends to whistle and pats on her thighs and says C'MON!!! C'MON!!!
Getting into the truck to go look for the horses.
