The Way of Lights...

There were so many beautiful lights to see. Even better....this whole thing was free. They had just under a million lights and all kinds of other activities. Charleigh loved going through it, we might have to make it a tradition.

Christmas tree display.

Charleigh loved all of these pretty trees. she couldn't hold still very long to look at just one.

She ran to each tree and said"wow" and would point to everything on the tree.

This tree was my favorite. It makes my tree look like the tree on Charlie Brown's Christmas special.

More of the Way of lights

They had a children's room with a puppet show, coloring, crafts, music, play area and pictures. Charleigh didn't know what to do first.

This little girl kept wanting to play with Charleigh. Charleigh loves being with other kids.

Charleigh couldn't focus on me, she was looking at the kids playing by us.

Of course the first stop on our trip had to be the petting zoo. We are big fans. It was a COMPLETE MAD HOUSE!!! It was hard to move, there were so many people. We didn't let it bother us, we stayed here for 45 minutes. Then drove on throught the lights. Everything in this picture is fine.....then all of a sudden............

.............The camel licked my neck!! Oh it just startled me and made Charleigh laugh. She loves it when anyone gets scared.
Even more strange than my face in this picture is the pair of hands in the bottom left corner that looks like they are getting ready to snatch Charleigh up. I guess maybe they thought that they were going to save her from the camel.

Keep it Flat.

Ben trying to get Charleigh to hold the feed in her hand flat.

Feeding him with a falt hand.

Charleigh kept insisting on feeding them with two fingers instead of with a flat hand like we told her. Notice her fingers in this picture.

....and in this one. Wait for it, wait for it...............

Yep! It got her finger, and she was a bit mad about it. She kept saying "Owwwwww"

Then it was funny.

Charleigh's first Snow Experiance.

When we noticed it had started snowing we had Charleigh look out the window and showed her all the snow. I asked her if she wanted to go outside and of course her answer was YES!!! She loved it. She kept laughing and saying "wow". It reminded me of how excited I would get as a little kid when it snowed. Our neighbors and us would spend an entire day out in the snow. We would sled, build tunnels, skate on the pond, ( Mom,that is how we lost the black broom sorry.)have snowball fights, hook the sled up to a horse or anything else we could think of. One time when I was like 9 or 10 our neighbor, Pat, Lacy and I told Charity, that in order to build a fort like ours she needed to lay her head down and pack the snow around it guillotine style. So she did, and we built her in there real good. When she was stuck like that we began throwing snowballs at her face. What a bunch of punks huh? That is what she got for being so gullible. Sorry Charity, I think it might have really taught you a valuable life leason on thinking things through before acting. Hey, Your welcome.
