Momma Tried
I know that both of you will say that you hate these pictures, BUT I LIKE THEM, and they are posted. Happy Mother's Day to two of the best mothers this world has ever seen. We are lucky that by the time you realized how hard raising us would be, our cuteness had worn off & nobody would have adopted us. If you had only known what we would be like from ages 13-22 you might have sold us on the black market at birth. But I think it is safe to say you made it through with you sanity (most of it) and we can all laugh about those days now. We both have great memories from our childhood and are blessed for the families we have, so thank you for loving us unconditionally. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you both and to all the mothers out there.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
Happy Mother's Day!!!
To a wonderful Mom! You somehow manage to survive three girls! You even made through twins even though you thought you wouldn't. You made us your top priority staying at home with us for many years before getting a job that paid anything more than kisses and smiles. You made it through cloth diapers, double feedings, diaper changes, teething, and illnesses. I never fully understood the work you did until I had my own baby. It makes me even more thankful for you and also more thankful I only had one baby my first time! You fixed three girls hair, got three girls ready and would sew clothes for all of us. You went through slumber parties, P.T.A meetings, chili suppers. swimsuit and dress shopping, & camping for a week in the rain with a 10& two 7 year olds. You survived us learning to drive, and made it through many advice sessions, most of the time with us saying"MOM PLEASE, we know this already you don't have to give us this speech." Through the years you taught us many things but I think the most valuable is how selfless a Mother can be. You survived three teenagers growing up in the same house with one bathroom! I know there were many, many times you resisted yourself from suffocating us in our sleep and we are forever grateful.
On our birthdays we would wake up to the house decorated with balloons, crate paper, and decorations. You fixed us a special breakfast on our special plates, a special cake of our choice and we always had two parties; one with family and then one with our friends. Christmas you would haul all of our presents up to Grandma's without us knowing, you even wrapped up wooden spoon for when I was like 7 because I once said I liked cooking with one. (Boy did I think Santa was strange) Every Halloween you would sew us costumes, my favorite was the sandwich. Every holiday was special growing up, looking back everyday was special.
You are just as good at being a Grandmother (you learned from the best). I could go on forever but the only person who will truly appreciate this is you so Mom, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. Thank you for years of great memories and many, many more to come, we love you
