Charleigh's Favorite Place to sleep... In her Daddy's arms

Lacy, Kyren, and Charleigh
Charleigh is now 3 months old!!!! Where did the time go? It is amazing to watch her grow and develop into a little girl with her own personality. Back in March she began to get colic, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the longest two weeks of our entire life. It is so hard to watch your little baby be in so much pain and you can't do a thing to help her. It just so happened that Adrienne's oldest sister Charity who has literally no experience with babies was here that week taking care of Charleigh. We would come home to Charity out of breath, covered in spit up, her hair a mess and still in her pajamas wondering how in the world we ever ate, slept, or survived. Thankfully we found a remedy after only two weeks. (ONLY?) And Charity did such a good job of caring for Charleigh and making her as comfortable as possible. We really appreciate her and everyone else who came to watch Charleigh. We have had several family members come and stay with Charleigh while we are at work and school we are so grateful to have such a great family, we would have not been able to make it through without them. It is also nice to be able to spend quality time with them all. Time that we will remember and cherish forever.
Charleigh is now smiling and laughing off and on all day long. Her favorite place to be is on her changing table. Kind of and odd place to want to be but she loves it. She is so funny, she will be happy and laughing and then the next thing you know she has her tiny little lip out quivering getting ready to let the melt down begin. We are having such a great time being parents, we don't feel tied down or held back at all it is really the opposite. We enjoy every second we are able to spend with our sweet lil' baby girl.

Charleigh and Pancho. This picture was taken right before nap time. She is mad, I think because she wanted her other cowgirl boot on before the picture was snapped.

CHARLEIGH HAS HER FIRST PONY!!! At eight weeks old Grandpa Clark has bought Charleigh her first pony. His name is Pancho, he is named after my Grandpa's little pulling pony who he looks almost identical to. Dad has already taught him to lay down and is working on teaching him to pull a wagon. Dad calls Charleigh his "rootin' tootin' cowgirl" because she is usually a little gassy. He also calls her his new pony trainer. I wonder how long it will take before he asks her " Wanna flank'em?, it would be more fun...." She hasn't seen Pauncho yet but I'm sure as soon as she is able to sit up she will be sitting on Pauncho. Until then she can ride Momma's horse with her and sit in her snuggli.(for those who don't know what that is it is one of those weird harness things that you see parents wearing on their chests or backs with an infant in) alright then we will update you all later. OH P.S. CHARLEIGH NOW WEIGHS 9lbs!!!!!!! She is growing like a mad woman.

Sorry that we have not been putting pictures on Charleigh's site, there has been several comments from people (no names will be given) that we have been slacking. I hope that everybody is doing well, Adrienne and Charleigh are doing fine, little Charleigh may not be so little if she keeps growing like she has been. I never new that such a little tummy could hold so much food, it seems like every time we turn around it's lunch time for her, but we couldn't be happier. She makes every day better. She has started to stay awake a little more now and moves around a lot more than she used to, it is amazing how strong she already is, when she latches on to you sometimes it's hard to get away, she has such a little grip. I can't wait to see everybody soon, but for now here are some pictures.

Charleigh is growing like CRAZY! We can definetly tell a difference in how her clothes fit and how much heavier she is when you hold her. She has had a few meltdowns, they are rare so for the most part she really is an easy baby to care for. When she cries you know something is wrong. Last week my twin sister came down and stayed and watched Charleigh, they both had a good time Lacy is so funny, I would call to check up on them and I would hear Lacy scream and then silence and I would be sitting there on the other end of the phone worried something was really wrong and it would end up just being Charleigh sneezing and spraying milk on Lacy, or Charleigh spitting up on her. This week my Dad is here. He has really impressed me with his baby skills. He used to hand her off as soon as she made a face like she might cry, last night she was crying and Dad said "Let Grandpa see if he can help her" and the most amazing part is that he did. She stopped crying, he started smiling, partly because she was feeling better but you could tell is was also because he had been the one who had done it. Then he spent all night on the couch with her on his chest because Ben and I have also caught some kind of cold. He got up with her when she woke up and fed her and then slept on the couch with her. He is leaving to go home tonight and I'm sure Charleigh will miss him almost as much as her Grandpa will miss her.

LOOK AT ALL THOSE LITTLE WRINKLES!
Charleigh is now up to 7lbs and 4ozs. She had a doctors appointment on Friday, Dr. Lee weighed her and checked her out, she said she is very healthy and progressing well. She is so much fun to be around ,we stare at her for hours. She finally had her first meltdown where she cried for a few minutes and I wasn't really sure what she needed. It turned out to just be gas and she was fine after a few minutes. She also rolled over, I think it was an accident, she was startled she actually made it all the way over and it hasn't happened since. She went to Sedalia with us to watch her daddy ride at a bullriding. I don't think she was real thrilled, we will give her a little time to get into it.
We found out from Adrienne's Grandma that Adrienne's Great-Grandfather Charlie was born on the same day as little Charleigh, we thought that we pretty interesting.
Things are wonderful we are looking forward to spring and letting Charleigh have her first ride on a horse. We are excited to she how she will react to the horses when she is a little older. well we will see everyone later update you soon
