LETS RIDE!!!!!

This is the other side of the stall right by our camp. Charleigh would love to help get the horses ready for the ride. She always asks for the reins, she thinks the halter is reins too. She thinks she is old enough to do everything by herself she wants to be lil miss independant.

Another stop at the Fox pens. One other reason we stop here is because they have porta potties.... a must when you have a 2 year old on a 2-3 hour ride. We forgot to have her stop here one day when she was riding with Christy(our cousin) and she peed on her. It just so happened that, that was a day we rode for 5 hours and Christy had to ride 4 out of the 5 hours in wet jeans. We remembered every day after that.

One of the many time we cross the Jacks Fork river

If you look close you will see a moon boot on my
Mom's right foot. This is because she feel off of top of my house when the ladder fell. She(along with many others) came down over Memorial weekend to help put a new roof on our house. She didn't want to go to the Dr. so after two days I drug her there and sure enough, she had broken her calcaneus. She rode everyday she could, the only days she didn't was when Charity needed a horse to ride. We just hooked her boot to the saddle with a bungee cord, this trick we learned from Ben who had to do this several years ago when he broke his leg riding bulls.
If you have a bungee cord, duct tape and gorilla glue you can fix anything!

She wanted get her picture taken by every stall. She went through to the stalls that didn't even have our horses and I pretended to take her picture.

The Dunn Boys...

This is Cooper, he is my Dad's cousin Danny's daughter Christy's son. So unless there is such thing as 4th cousins we aren't even related. To put it mildly, HE IS OUT OF CONTROL WILD!!!! He is 90 mph all of the time. One day he had on a t-shirt that said "My Parents are exhausted" it was soooo true and sooo funny. He feel off of his horse on the trail, landed face down, and never cried. He just laid on the ground and waited to be put back on his horse. I am amazed that his parents haven't had a nervous break down by now.

This is Carter, the oldest of the Dunn boys. He is the more laid back of the two. He is always so sweet to Charleigh and was constantly trying to help her, well......except when he wanted her to smell his arm pit.

The first night they were all together. When looking at Charleigh please remember that we were camping and that 75% of kids look like ragamuffins while camping.

The Fox Pens

This is a little place calle dthe fox pens. It is kinda the center of the the trails (well for our group anyway). It is close to the river, the bluffs and many of the trails but most importantly it is home of the SODA and SNACK SHED. We ride to this location frequently and a candy bar is always a must. the first day we rode here and the man gave Charleigh a free kit-kat. I was not prepared for a 2 year old after she handled chocolate in 90 degree weather. The next time we went we had baby wipes in the saddle bags.

Brushing Reno, getting ready to ride...

Charleigh still loves to ride. She loves riding horses more than just about anything else. That is of course with the exception of candy or popcorn.
