Riding with Daddy

This is from this summer. Charleigh was learning how to ride without being ponied. You can probably tell from Ben's face that it was very nerve racking.

Little Miss

AHhh Boy did we get lucky! She is SUCH a good baby! She is so easy. She has been cooing for probably 3 months now. She blows bubbles ALL THE TIME and she tries to imitate some of the noises we make. She is ALREADY 5 months old and I know everyone is sick of hearing about how sad it is BUT IT IS!!!!! I know it is happy too, I love to she her grow into the little person she will be and I know this is the way things go but I cannot help but think that this is the last baby I will have and things are going by too fast. I didn't get enough time hearing her grunt, not enough time of her being a teeny tiny little baby, of taking in all of her sounds, her smells her faces that all change without me even noticing it. I will just keep takng pictures and keep blogging so when I go back I can remember what I might have forgot.

This is from this summer and she does have a diaper on..... it is just covered up by her baby belly and chunky baby thighs.

Raised in a Barn…..

100_1991 Adalyn wanted to play with her big sister’s barn.  She played like this for a long time.100_1988 100_1989 100_1990

Charleigh is such a little cowgirl! She has been riding on her own in the round pen or arena since she was 2. She would ride on her own and we would pony her when we went riding down the road, in the pasture, or on trail rides. Now she rides by herself everywhere! She has been for the past couple of months. She can even lope Scooter when we are out of the arena. Her favorite things are crossing creeks, jumping ditches and logs and of course running! It is really amazing how well she can ride, she even surprises me. She has the flu right now, but that will not hold her back, she rode twice yesterday and once every other day. We try to convince her to stay inside, lay down and watch cartoons and eat popsicles so she will fell better but she "HAS TO RIDE" She is such a little cowgirl.

The Race is On!

The picture would be better if you could see the Thoroughbred that Brandon said was fast, and the one he put he money on. Jerry put his money on me (what a friend should do) AND HE WON!!!! Scooter was 19 and STILL WON. It was the last year for me to race him, I was scared to death he would get hurt and Charleigh wouldn't have a horse. Dad advised me not to, well he actually told me not to in his stern "Dad" voice and I wasn't going to up until 5 minutes before the sign in closed. This is one time I am glad I didn't listen to him.

Me getting the buckle from Tessa Reiner.

Charleigh wearing the buckle her horse won.
