The temp. here reached the low seventies, but still a little windy so when she was swinging she wore a hat(mostly because she was getting over being sick) Her elf hat signals that she is done with Halloween and ready to move onto Christmas.
Charleigh is sidestepping p and down the couch. In these pictures she is getting over being a sicky. Her poor little nose is so dry it was bleeding. Which was caused from her repeated times of getting sick and it coming out of her nose. She also was dealing with all of the side effects that come along with teething and all of the bumps and bruises from moving quicker. All in all it was a rough couple of days for all of us. I knew she didn't feel good when she wouldn't eat anything. Oh yeah I am pretty sure I feel a bottom tooth!!!!!!!!

Taking a break and kicking back with a warm one.
04 November 2006
Charleigh is learning new things everyday. She can now wave every time anyone says hello or goodbye. She also waves sporadically when we go places and she sees somebody new. Not too many people wave back, but when they do and they say hello she gets shy and tucks her head into my shoulder. She also gives kisses often. She kisses her toys, the mirror, pillows, puppies and other animals, cracker boxes......... you know, the same things you and I would kiss. She gives kisses to all of her toys. Most often her winnie the poo doll gets some love ,basicly anytime she sees him. Recently we visited my Grandma when her family from out of state came to town. Charleigh was sitting with my Grandma's dog and the next thing we know she is leaning over with her mouth wide open and her tongue sticking out a little bit going in for a kiss. The dog gives her some lovin back before we could stop her and move her away from him. When he got tired and left the room she screamed for him to come back like "How dare he leave me" she gave him short aggravated screams. Giving him a little time in between each scream so he could come running back to her, which he never did. Her love for animals is nonstop. I am constantly catching her grabbing the cat, our own dogs and the horses so she can get her mouth on them to get them a kiss. She squeals with delight anytime she sees animals. Lately she expects to ride every large animal she sees. When we were in Mississippi Cecil was working cattle and Charleigh watched on top of chute for an hour and a half. She would peek over the chute. Every once in a while she would try to pull herself over to get onto a cow. She would grunt and squirm trying to get away over there and get mad whem I would not let her. She is also pulling up on things when she feels like it. Most recently she was in the bath tub and she just stood up like she had been doing it all her life. Then she wanted back in and wasn't sure how to get back down. She can "Charleigh crawl" everywhere. She doesn't ever get up on her knees she just pulls herself across the floor with her arms and pushes with her legs. She is into everything. I think from this point on I am going to need to go down to the corner and get a lil' something to keep up with her. (Next thing you know you will see me on Oprah talking about how I hit rock bottom.) She is also speaking her own language that often resembles real words.(probably the same language I would be speaking if I went down to the corner.) She babbles and mumbles all day. All joking aside though, being at home with her everyday is the best job I have ever had ,not to mention the most rewarding. Things here are going great Ben is still loving his new job and I am lucky to be able to stay at home with Charleigh Although, I do feel bad for Ben in the mornings when he has to leave and doesn't want to.He sees me and Charleigh playing and her laughing and smiling and he has to leave her. Remind me to thank him later ...........
The long, long walk back to the car. It was seriously like 2 miles. there were so many people at the zoo, a Cardinals rally going on eor winning the World Series the night before, soccer games and people in the park so needless to say we walked for a while.
Charleigh and her Uncle Rick. Rick is brushing up on his baby skills getting ready for baby X in March. By the look on his face I think he is hopefull that his baby will not weigh as much as Charleigh in her Costume
Charity threatens to drop Charleigh to the Lions if everyone doesn't give her $40 and call her a queen. I'm sure it is only a matter of time before her motherly instincts kick in.
We went to the zoo the Saturday before Halloween and what a zoo it was. There were witches and frogs everywhere. The line for the candy snaked through almost half the entire zoo. We were there for almost 20 minutes and the line still had not moved. Kyren was so good, he said he would just see the animals and get candy when he trick-or treated. I am not sure if the animals were watching at all the costumes or the kids in costumes were watching them
She is focused and ready for the next bite. AGGGHHHH The squash isn't wat she expected , but she will not quit. She must eat every last bite. Getting a bit winded but staying on task(looking beautiful at the same time) She conquers the squash and cereal. "And you doubted me."

The chicken has won! Every single vote that was voiced: 2o people at Dad's work, people at mom's work all of our friends and family all voted for the chick. The only vote the elephant got was by default. We are going to The Boo at the Zoo on Saturday and she will wear the chicky there. She is now 20lbs and 28 inches tall. The doctor said everything looks great and she is healthy as a horse.
We just moved into our new house!!! It is the house my dad lived in as a boy. We are so excited about all of the history here, and about having a place in the country! We enjoy rodeos, horses and being outdoors. Ben and I began dating in 99 and we got married in 2004. Ben is laid back and super easy to get along with, and I try to be the same. He is a wonderful husband and father.
In 2006 Charleigh came into our lives and changed us forever. It has been the most rewarding experience ever. We had Adalyn in May 2009, and she completed our family. We couldn't be happier to have another cowgirl in the family. Ben works for a feed additive company based out of Austin TX. His territory is Missouri and so far it has been wonderful! I work in xray at St. Anthony's hospital. We are lucky to have so many WONDERFUL people in our lives. You all help to make us who we are. This is our page, our memories, our lives and we enjoy sharing them with you all.
5-12-10 Charleigh looked at me and said "Momma, you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?" when I looked at her she "POPCICLES!!!"
4-14-2010
There was a lady in the grocery store that looked a little rough, alright a lot rough. Charleigh saw her and waited until we were around the corner to say with an amazed look on her face "Mom, she only had 2 teeth in her mouth" I laughed and told her it wasn't nice to say that and she said "but she do only have 2 teeth in her mouth."
4-14-2010 We were at the grocery store and I asked her if we needed milk. she said " I don't sank(think) so, I sank Dad said we have some...........next time you need to make a list!"
4-10-10 Charleigh looked at me from across the room and said "Mom, I love your heart."
2-2010 Charleigh saw one of her Valentines present at my Moms and she asked my mom what it was. My mom said "You are nosey." Charleigh said "No I'm not, I've got good eyes Grandma."
2-19-10 We were all in My Mom's hotel room that joined ours and it was time for all of the kids to take a nap. My Mom said "Looks Like this will be the Sleeping room." and Charity said "what will the other room be?" Charleigh answered quickly "the awake room, I guess." in a duh kinda way.
Anytime I say "ready fredy" or "sweet pea" or anything else like that to Charleigh she will say "NO I NOT, I A COWGIRL!"
11-9-09 Ben was on the phone with work in another room trying to stay away from noisy Charleigh. Charleigh walked in with a play phone up to her ear pretending to talk, she looked at Ben and said "ssshhhhhh, I am on the phone with work."
10-29-09 Charleigh was watching old videos of herself as a baby when she said "Daddy, I want to be that little again." Ben told her she could only be that little once and that it was kinda sad . Charleigh said " Yeah I would be sad if I was too little to ride Scooter."
9-5-09 We were driving back home after visiting family in Mississippi when Ben got a phone call so he pulled off the road. Charleigh said "What happened, did dad forget how to get out of Sissippi?"
8-2-09 We were at a birthday party for some family friends and Ben and Charleigh were getting something to eat. Charleigh was being really shy standing behind Ben and tapping her foot into his heel. When he asked her why she was being so shy she answered "Cause I don't want "enyone" to see my bread." she had a bun she was eating and I guess she was a little embarassed about it.
8-1-09 Ben was driving and made a wrong turn so he turned down a side street to turn around and said "opps this is a one way street." and he had to keep going to find another street. Charleigh started laughing and said "Momma, you gonna have to drive if Daddy keeps getting lost!"
5-15-09 Ben came into the room where Charleigh and I were sitting and he said his pants were getting too tight and that he felt like his belly was hanging over. Charleigh didn't say a word she went to pulling up my shirt and then said "wook at Momma's belly!"
5-11-09 Last night Charleigh got down one of our wedding pictures and asked "Momma why you murried?" I explained that when you love someone and I love her Daddy and she interupted me and said "No Mom, why did Dad Murry you?" I didn't have an answer I just laughed.
5-09 Charleigh came into my room and asked me if I was ready to get up and eat ceral one morning, I told her yeah and when I was walking down the hall she said "Mom your hair is crazy"
"You are funny" she said this as her hair is going in 1,000 different directions .
I was asking Charleigh what kind of cake she wanted this year for her birthday and she said "an Elmo cake, no blow out the candles." What she was saying was last year she had an Elmo cake but she was too afraid to blow her candles out. How did she remember that?
I was cleaning out Charleigh's closet yesterday, when she came in and said " Ahhhh C'mon Momma, don't make a mess, I am trying to clean up!"
We were in our room fixing the closet and Charleigh kept pretending like she was going somewhere. She would say bye-bye,bye-bye..... and Ben said "Goodbye and Good Riddens" Charleigh came marching back into the room and said
with her hands on her hips..... "HEY! What you talking 'bout?!" We were just laughing and she repeated herself until we answered.
Charleigh and I were making Halloween cookies and she leaned over and kissed my stomach. I asked her what she was doing and she said "kissin' the baby in your tummy"
I was brushing Charleigh's hair and she turned around and looked me in the eyes and said "easy, Momma."
I asked Charleigh if her daddy was silly and she said
"NO, STINKY, DADDY'S STINKY!!" I about died laughing!
