Eating her first ice cream cone all by herself. She has become VERY INDEPENDANT! She wants to feed herself, walk without holding your hand, hold the cup, cone sandwich etc......

Ada loves to play in Charleigh's Little Tykes house. She thinks she is so grown up.

The not so slippery slide.

What is it with these things these days? Do they make them so you don't slip on purpose? This is the second one we have had that wasn't very slippery. I put an entire bottle of baby oil on it and they still did not slide like crazy, like I had envisioned them to. It brought back memories of the year we were at Mark Twain Lake for the BOA finals. We brought a tarp the size of the arena up to the dam and slide down the side of the dam. Talk about crazy slippery and crazy fast! We must have each had 30,000 grass cuts from sliding across the grass at 30mph after the tarp ended. Ahhhh talk about good times!

My Grandma looks scared! She already had cake on her cute white pants what else could happen?

So happy!

When she really loves something or is very happy with something she kinda gives hugs. In this case she was laying her head on her arm simulating a hug. She was so happy to make a mess and eat her yummy cake.

Adalyn was reaching so hard to give Clementine a bite that she had icing on her elbows and her tummy. SHe was a mess!

Clementine was like a little puppy eating out of Ada's hands.

They were both laughing.

She was so cute, she wanted to feed everybody else instead of herself.

Ada wasn't to thrilled with the cake at first. It took her some time to get into it, but when she did........ LOOK OUT!

My sweet Adalyn, one year ago today you were brought into our lives making our family complete. You will never know the happiness that filled my heart the first second I saw you. You will not know the power of that love until you have a sweet baby of your own. As a Momma, all of that happiness comes with a bit of saddness. I couldn't be happier to have you as my baby girl, but also sad that your first year has went by in a blink. I knew that today was going to be hard for me. I haved loved every single day that I have had with you. Seeing you change into the little person you are going to be is amazing and seeing your personality shine makes me so proud. It has been a beautiful year filled with wonderful memories that now matter how many birthdays you have, I will not forget. I look forward to more birthdaysand to all of life's memories.
