Charleigh and Aunt Charity.  Posted by Picasa
Wow! Friday the 13th HUH.... Spooky! The last time that a Friday fell on a 13th was in January of this year and I was still carrying little Charleigh around in my belly. It was the day I got admitted into the hospital and would remain there until I saw my sweet lil' baby for the first time. So in a way it was a little scary, praying that everything would turn out alright for Charleigh, wondering if I would be tough enough to make it through without acting like a wimp, and just knowing that it was time and there was no stopping it now was a little spooky but this Friday the 13th so far today has been uneventful. Beside Charleigh turning into a little monster when it is time for her naps and Ben putting on her sleeper backwards we have really had a normal day.
Charleigh is really changing and morphing into a little girl. I looked at her the other day as she sat in the shopping cart and I did a double take and thought that it couldn't be that my sweet, tiny baby girl that was showing signs of a becomig a toddler. She now knows patty-cake and she claps when you sing it to her. She likes to play peek-a-boo and is sporadically waving good-bye, it depends on her mood. She also imitates some sounds we make, (No Ferrell Family she still will not whistle although,I have tried) she has this fake little cough that she does and we always say " Oh poor baby got a bad cough." and she will do it again.
Still no teeth and as far as I can tell none close to coming in, but what do I know? I am no dentist. She is however eating solid foods and is still not shy about eating. At this point she will never be the girl on a date that orders just a side salad, she will want the seven course meal that includes the salad in addition to steak and potatoes and soup and dessert and........... anyway she is a good eater.
She rolls and army crawls all over the place but has yet to actually "crawl" pretty sure she is going to skip that stage and go straight to walking just like her daddy. We are getting ready to head down to Mississippi next weekend and we are all three very excited to see everyone. Has it really been 3 months already? We can't wait to see if Christian's belly is getting big, and to see how everyone is doing and for them to see Charleigh and hope she does alright getting off schedule. Life is good. We are very lucky people.
