The Best Rolls EVER!

My Grandma has made these rolls for as long as I can remember on special occasions. They are always the hit of the dinner and even though she makes more than enough, they go quick. My Dad always volunteers to be the one that does the cooking (and sampling to make sure they are safe to eat). This year Charleigh wanted to help Grandma. I thought that she would help for a little bit and then get bored but I was wrong she helped until Grandma was finished. My Grandma is so patient with her and is such a great teacher. Charleigh was trying her best but it made it more work for my Grandma, but of course y Grandma just kept on smiling and never said a word.

Easter Morning

Enjoying the candy that she found.

Time to show all of their tricks to Rick, Charity and Ya-Ya who stayed the night.

This is Charleigh's favorite trick, the ole one arm one leg trick.

Then it was time to show off the eggs they had colored the night before.

Her "fabrite" thing in her Easter basket, other than the candy of course was her flash cards.

We Weathered the Storms

Last night we had more storms. We woke up to thunder and lightening, a down pour of rain and the tornado sirens going off AGAIN. It has been happening so frequently that we got up, checked the weather according to Dave Murry but we really were not too worried . Charleigh woke up and was scared so I put her into our bed, the sirens stopped and we went back to bed. As far as we knew the night had been uneventful. I woke up this morning hearing helicopters. I wondered what it was all about but didn't think too much about it. I heard them several more times so finally Charleigh wanted to see what all of the helicopters were about so we wnet out to see channel 5 right above our house. Charleigh was waving at them like crazy hoping they would wave back. There were a lot of trees down, roof damage and debris around town, but these were the most severe of the photos. Our house had loose trim for the house on top of the roof from a project Ben is working on that never even budged.
This is about 6 blocks or so from our house.

This is the preschool, in the background is the playground that we walk to and let Charleigh play at for hours.

SO EXCITED!!!! ALMOST TIME!

Today we found out that next week we will have a baby!!!! I can't even describe how nervous and excited I am! I can't imagine this time next week I will have 2 babies. My sweet Charleigh will be a big sister but she will still be my baby! I am super worried about her and how she will feel about not being the only one. She has BIG PLANS for her sister. Lately everthing has been "and my sister........." She wants to show her about baths, Wittle Buddy, Scooter Bug, eating, swinging...... I think she is in for a rude awakening when she realizes that she will not come out ready to play and be her best friend. She loves to see the baby clothes and try them on her(up to my belly) she always says "awww mom this is so tute" which is how she says cute. We will go in Monday night @ midnight and begin the process and if all goes the way I have it planned in my head I will get a good night sleep, wake up refreshed and have a baby by noon. (hey, I am hopeful). So if you do not hear from us in a week or so you will know why........ we will be the best kind of busy, busy, busy.

The Easter Egg hunt 2009.

Mom wanted a picture of the girls with the cat. This is as good as I could get, Charleigh had a piece of candy in her mouth as you can see. This yeat it did not snow but is was very cold considering the weather we had been having. So needless to say the girls did not wear their cute Easter dresses we got them.

When we first went out we noticed a lot of opened eggs with only the wrappers near by of gone. Then there was a pile of about 10 eggs where our dog Jasper had enjoyed his own little Easter egg hunt.

Uncle Rick had to give her a lift to get this one.

Charleigh giving Clementine some of the eggs she found. We kept telling her to just let her find them because it would be more fun for her but Charleigh wanted to give them to her.

Kyren was SUPER QUICK! I had Charity make a scavenger hunt type race where he found an egg with a clue that lead to another and another etc... until he found the Grand Prize. Charity hated every minute of planning and placing the eggs in the correct place she kept putting the eggs in the wrong chronological order which would have only confused Kyren so Rick had to go retrieve some eggs and put them in the right place. By the end Rick was not so fond of the idea either. One of the clues was "go to the place where Grandma parks" (which would be the garage) but Kyren wasn't thinking straight and said "Grandma Parks...... Grandma Parks...... I don't know Grandma Parks."

Clementine carried her purse with her new Annie doll the entire time.

Ben and Rick were responsible for the Easter bunny duties of hiding all 200+ eggs, I suggested they count them before hiding them so we could get an idea of how many we needed to find. They just gave an estimate which meant we would be finding eggs for the next week and a half.

Looks like Rick has Clementine's arm in a death grip so she doesn't fall down the steep rock stairs.

When the hunting began, it was impossible to get a picture of Charleigh's face.

Daddy's Salon

I think it is so cute when Ben fixes her hair. He isn't shy about pulling it up when I am not there and he is watching her. A couple of weeks ago he put it in pigtails while I was working a short shift. When we spoke on the phone he was so proud of himself, he told me how cute she looked after he fixed her hair, Although, one side was noticeably higher and more to the front and the other lower and more to the back it was so cute to see when I got home espically since he was so proud. My sweet Grandma always tells me about how Ben fixes her hair before he drops her off. She said that my brother in-law Rick(who is a hair stylist) had better watch his back.

Looking at Ya-Ya who can sleep through anything.

Monday's Appointment

I went back to the doctor yesterday afternoon for another check up, still at a 3 and 30% so no progress there, despite my efforts of going to work the past 2 days, 3 long walks and 1 long and miserable horseback ride. And the NST was perfect, her heart rate was 117-160 when she moved and she needed no shocking! I had another ultrasound where she checked my fluid and it is down. It was 32 on Wednesday, 15 on Friday and 6 on Monday. Now it just needs to stay where it is and not go any lower. My next appointment is Thursday morning, we will see what happens. I think it will be at least 1-2 more weeks before she is ready.

We made the mistake of letting her have a whip.
