Cowgirl Dreams........

Charleigh had her first offical rodeo last weekend. She grinned from ear to ear all night. She only got off Scooter to eat and go potty, then it was right back to riding. I am sure Scooter was thrilled. He didn't do as good as he could but Charleigh did AWESOME! As she rounded the 3rd barrel the announcer told everyone that she was only 4 and the crowd went crazy clapping for her. She watched the replay on the video camera 20 times and was still smiling. She said "Mom, Everyone yell for me?" I told her yes and she was so proud. She has BIG PLANS. Ben and I are so proud of our little cowgirl. I think Ben was grinning just as much as Charleigh all night. I felt sick to my stomach!
This is Chaleigh entering the rodeo arena for the first time at her first event.

In the arena in Potosi, MO at her very first rodeo. Ben on Pete Charleigh on Scooter.

Ben had to go change into a long sleeve shirt and Charleigh wanted to stay in the arena by herself. She wasn't scared at all. She was out ther with all of the adults and older kids and it was like she had been doing it her whole life. She looked so little out there next to the contestants racing by her, and she just kept Scooter at a walk.

How do you like them apples?

She loves to eat apples! She will chew on an apple for the longest time. When she sees one she gets all excited like a puppy when his owner comes home. At the rodeo she was trying to get attention from the people in the audience. She does this thing where she blinks her eyes at you to get you to laugh, which we always do. She was trying it on the people around us, but I don't think they understood what she was doing. She put her arms up signaling she wanted to be picked up to 2 strangers with burgers! I had to find her something to take her mind off of the food!

A Dream Come True.

For a while now Charleigh has wished for a chance to ride Scooter-Bug and have everyone "crap" for her(clap). She finally got her chance. Warming up with her Daddy.

Riding Pete with her Daddy.

Ada is always looking around, she MUST know what is going on. She is so sweet when she looks at you, she will usually give you a sweet smile.

The National Anthem, Or as Charleigh calls it "Oh Say Song"

Dad's Girls. I bet Ben never pictured his life would turn out like this, with two sweet girls going to rodeos for barrel racing instead of with boys for rough stock events. Charleigh also wants to ride sheep, goat tie, and enter the pole bending! We told her yes to the sheep but she would have to practice the other 2.

Adalyn's Birthday Party.

My sweet Ada had the most fun at her birthday party. It was a very hot day 92(tied with the record). Adalyn was so good, she had NO NAP! I couldn't believe how happy she was, she loved playing with all of the kids and seeing all of her family. She always wants to go to the person who isn't holding her but it is usually short lived. She has so much personality it is funny. She will go to anyone who has something she might one. If you have a drink or a cheeseburger you might as well plan on sharing it with her. She knows what she wants and makes sure you know it too. She is so full of life. She loves her Charleigh. Charleigh is always making sure Ada is happy. I couldn't ask for 2 better kids.

Adalyn at her birthday party enjoying the freezing cold water in her pool.

Clementine must have bit the dust.

Look at how wet her hair is.

Little water baby.

She was going all the way in, she enjoyed the pool more than the little girls. Aunt Dawn and Uncle Thomas got her the pool for Christmas.
