Last week on July 8th I got an email from my mother in-law (Becky Ruth) it was a video from a police officer in Georgia who followed a solider on his final trip home. It was beautiful. The caption that she sent with it said that we wouldn't be able to watch it all (it was 5 minutes long) but I did, twice. I couldn't not watch it. I cried through the entire thing the first time and most of the second. There were unbelievable amounts of people lining the streets with their American Flags and hands over their hearts and signs that said things like "Freedom isn't Free" I forwarded the email on to every email address I had, hoping that more people would go out and pay their respects and show their support if this ever happened close to their home. Ironically, the same day that I saw the email was the day a solider from the next town over from where I grew up in was killed in Iraq. PVT Lucas Bregg was 19 and had joined the Army one year previous(to the day) before arriving back home as a fallen solider. The newspapers also stated he was to return home next weekend to get married but he will never get the chance. I am so sad for his family and was proud to be there on the side of the road as he went through town one last time.
