NOTHING BETTER..

I have decided that there is nothing better than seeing these two together.

love, love, love....

Taking a break for ice cream. Isn't it sweet?

Notice that the mule wasn't really interested in Charleigh unless she had some hay in her hand. That is probably why he only won the pink ribbon. Maybe if he had a better personality he would have won the blue ribbon.

Charleigh wanted to take a picture.......this is what she got (with a little help, so she didn't drop the camera)

She is focused on her mission.

The Mule Barn

Charleigh would have stayed here all day long if we would have let her. She loves to feed any animal. One of the rewards she wanted when she was potty training was to feed the dog Jasper. She always goes out and helps Dad feed the horses when we are there. She doesn't worry a bit about getting her fingers chomped on like I do. She will say "flat?" just reassuring me that she is holding her hand flat, even though her little fingers tend to curl up toward the horses mouth.

Sunshine.

This is Charleigh looking up through the plastic on her stroller. My grandma always says that when she comes over to her house she immediately fills the house with light. She is like sunshine that follows you wherever you go. She really is our little ray of light.

We asked her if she wanted to get some ice cream......... she took off running to make sure she got it before we changed our minds.

Please feed the animals...

Charleigh was very upset that the donkey would not get up and eat. She kept telling him to "get up" She wanted to feed him and the zebra.

the petting zoo...

We spend a lot of time here every year at the state fair. This year they had a baby buffalo, and he was sooooo cute and fuzzy. Charleigh knew exactly waht it was when she saw him. It is funny when she knows things that you don't expect here to know .

The FUNKY CHICKEN

We wanted to see the bunny rabbits, but they did not arrive until a couple of days later. Instead all they had were chickens. Charleigh still liked looking at all of them and pretending to be a chicken herself.

When people say "Funky Chicken" these are the birds that they are taking about!

Camel Rides...

While we were at the State fair we asked Charleigh if she wanted to ride a camel, of course her answer was "Yes, Yes, Yes!" She wasn't a bit scared and held on like the little cowgirl she is. She looked so little up on the camel's back.

She had to hang on tight, the camel moved different than a horse does.

Daddy's Girl.

Charleigh and Ben walking around the State Fair. Charleigh is Lil' Miss Independant and does not want help doing anything right now. She likes to walk and not ride in a stroller.

Charleigh is in her own little world, just singing and playing while we walk. She loves to play with the strangest things. She loves ropes and calls all of them "reins" and loves lids and odd things she finds all of different places.

BUCKED OFF!!!!

Charleigh got bucked off the most out of the 3 little ones. She always landed on the ground while the other 2 just mainly landed on their feet. Charleigh needs to learn this trick. SHE WAS FILTHY AND COVERED IN GRASS!

LOOK AT HOW COVERED IN DIRT SHE WAS. She needed the John Deere tee shirt that says "I make dirt look good"
